Writing About Class in America: A May Day Workshop

Corporeal Writing is thrilled to be hosting Vanessa Veselka, who writes about class the way Lidia writes about the body, again this year for A two-day workshop on 4/29/17 & 4/30/17 at Mckmanimns Kennedy School. Includes coffee, tea and lunch. Vegetarian and gluten free options available. $375.

We inherit history we did not create. We are micro-territories, political economies, made posture and dental work, grammar and shame. In an America that hides its own class story, how do we tell ours? This workshop is generative. We will write and write. We will explore subterranean rivers that feed our work. Through oral history and trance, vulnerability and thought, we free ourselves and our characters to tell deeper stories in a time that calls out for them.
