Poetic language brings our breathing, sensing, emotional corporeality into the process of writing and reading. It makes “sense” differently than other kinds of language. In this workshop we will explore how poetic language works. We’ll experiment with line, voice, and the reading/re-seeing experience. If you are new to poetry, this workshop is a way into understanding the corporeal language of poetry and art. If you are an experienced writer or artist, this workshop can deepen your artistic practice by taking you in new directions or showing you more about your creative and linguistic processes. No prerequisites or genre restrictions, just come willing to experiment and experience what poetic language is all about!

Food and drink is included in your registration fee. Workshop meets Friday evening from 7-9, beverages and dessert will be served. Saturday and Sunday we go from 10:30-4, and coffee, tea, and lunch will be served. Contact zinn@corporealwriting.com with questions.
